Human or a Cactus
Next up, I was reading some Ars Technica, and in particular an article about how robots perceive reality. I connected with the article considering I spent a solid portion of the last year and a half of my undergraduate university life teaching a helicopter-like robot how to perceive flying, and subsequently, the world around it. It had a propensity for chopping at my hand with its rotor blades. But many people don’t understand the difficulties of teaching computers to perceive reality effectively from scratch, and I thought that the graphic Ars provided was humorous. So here it is, summing up my college experience: is that a human or a cactus?
